i965-va-driver software package provides VAAPI driver for Intel G45 & HD Graphics family, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install i965-va-driver
i965-va-driver is installed in your system.
Make ensure the i965-va-driver package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep i965-va-driver *
You will get with i965-va-driver package name, version, architecture and description in a table
